Distinctives
We gratefully acknowledge that Providence Gospel Church is part of the
grand story of Jesus’ redemptive mission in this world. The inception of the church
was in 2013 with a vision of participating in the great work that
Christ is already doing in the Shoals.
We believe in the inerrancy and the sufficiency of the Scriptures. Therefore, we hold the conviction that only biblical truth can set men free, and sustain that freedom, from sinful addictions.
We embrace a high view of God in all things. We believe that salvation is of the Lord and that He, and He alone, gives repentance and saving faith to everyone who believes the gospel.
We are committed to love as Jesus loved. Because we believe that Christianity is relational, we desire to be a church that is chiefly characterized by love for God, one another and community.
We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to salvation and for all of life. We endeavor to make the gospel central in our worship, outreach and daily walk.
